MINISTER POLAK TAKES PART IN COIN TOSS AT BC LIONS GAME
Minister Polak was at BC Place Stadium to flip a coin and kick off the game between the BC Lions and the Calgary Stampeders on August 22, 2008. ActNow BC and BC Lions lunch kits were given away to the first 4,000 kids age 12 and under, and prize packages were also given away during the game, including an autographed B.C. Lions jersey.

BC LIONS' MASCOT EMBRACES HEALTHY LIVING
On Aug 20, 2008, Mary Polak, Minister of Healthy Living and Sport joins a new slimmer, fitter Leo the Lion at the ActNow BC Road to Health Community Tour at the PNE. The Tour provides the tools for all British Columbians to lead a healthier lifestyle.
