PRINCE GEORGE – A $250,000 provincial grant to Books for BC Babies will promote the development of early literacy and learning skills among new babies and support new parents in learning about the important role they play in their child’s healthy development.

MORE ADOPTIVE FAMILIES NEEDED IN B.C.
VICTORIA – The Province nearly doubled the number of adoptions of children in its care last year compared to 2000/01, but has more work to do to provide homes for over 600 children still waiting to be adopted, said Minister of Children and Family Development Tom Christensen.
