Citizenship Requirements Not Met - Code A
Overview: June 1, 2008
Effective: June 01, 2008
Regulation change OIC #219 (BC Reg. 69/2008) will allow the Ministry to issue regular income assistance and disability assistance to all clients who were formerly restricted to hardship assistance under “Code A-Citizenship Requirements Not Met” category.
These clients are in Canada:
-
on a Temporary Resident Permit,
-
as refugee claimants, or
-
under a removal order that cannot be executed
This client group will no longer receive hardship assistance under category Code A. As such, this hardship category code will no longer be available.
