OLYMPIC RINGS LIGHT UP VANCOUVER INNER HARBOUR
VANCOUVER – A set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings floating in Coal Harbour that will shine throughout the Games were lit by Premier Gordon Campbell to mark the start of the 100-day countdown to the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

VICTORIA – British Columbians will welcome Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, as the Royal Couple begins a four-day visit to the province on Friday, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

NOVEMBER 5 PROCLAIMED LAST POST FUND DAY
VICTORIA – The Province is proclaiming November 5, 2009, as Last Post Fund Day, in honour of 100 years of ensuring that Canadian and Allied veterans in Canada are guaranteed a dignified burial and grave marker.

TASK FORCE, COMMITTEE TO LEAD CLEAN ENERGY DEVELOPMENT
VANCOUVER – The Province will establish a Green Energy Advisory Task Force, as committed in the throne speech, and a new Cabinet Committee on Climate Action and Clean Energy, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.
