VICTORIA – A new federal report on motor vehicle theft in Canada that shows an overall decline in B.C. auto theft, with a reduction of eight per cent from 2006 to 2007, proves that the Province’s anti-theft strategies are working, Solicitor General John van Dongen said.

B.C. PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES TO PULL, TEST PRE-06 TASERS
VICTORIA - At the request of Public Safety Minister and Solicitor General John van Dongen, British Columbia’s municipal chiefs of police have unanimously agreed to pull from service all Tasers, also referred to as conducted energy weapons (CEWs), acquired before Jan. 1, 2006.
