BC PLACE TO GET $65 MILLION REFURBISHMENT
Minister Bennett spoke at a media conference at BC Place. The revitalization of the stadium provides new year-round event opportunities, and extends the life of the facility for another 30 years. In May, Premier Gordon Campbell outlined the Province’s plans for the 25 year old stadium, including the addition of a retractable roof after the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Minister Bennett announced details of the refurbishments to BC Place which are set to begin in September. Included in the work are upgrades and improvements to concessions, washrooms, directional signage and sound, as well as the addition of Club Seats and new suites.
